november 1 - 1999
by the end of october i was invited by ford motors europe to join a workshop concerning
their future engine sound design. they gave me two weeks time thinking and preparing
two little soundtracks with cars as lead vocals substitute bringing an automobile back on
dance floor where it originally came from, right? two days later the 12 engineers
presented a computer model of a 4 cylinder engine which sounded like a smooth roaring
v12 with a sound of a gliding and sophistically giggling gator opening his mouth wide
when overtaking. all they need to do now is to build that engine. probably for an
amphibian car...
a few days later came another call from the psycho acoustic research institute if the
"motor symphony" couldn't be presented to mercedes plus an optional new workshop -
hmmm...like the idea when motor companies are regarding engines as brass bands on
wheels.
instead of presenting a picture you may listen to a 42 seconds mp3/realfile clip entitled
"cat car"(all rights reserved!)

good to know that "good morning story" is finally available in the stores. i nearly gave up the release for this millennium.
cheers and bye for now
